Paramedic Full Time (12-Hour Shifts) 7a-7p x 4 days/week
- Performs emergency and stabilizing procedures using protocols as directed by the EMS Medical Director and independent judgment.
- Responds to emergency and routine requests for transportation to and from medical facilities.
- Works well with other employees, healthcare providers, and public safety officials, maintaining a patient or customer service focus.
- Provides didactic and clinical instruction to coworkers, healthcare providers, or the public as needed.
- Demonstrates effective leadership and management of specialized situations.
- Provides documentation and records as appropriate.
- Maintains equipment, supplies, and facilities.
- Performs related tasks as required.
- Adheres to all NRHS policies, procedures, and workplace rules, including but not limited to attendance, tardiness, meal and break times, overtime, safety, etc.

Qualifications
Education
- Certificate or Associate Degree in Emergency Medical Technology. Minimum requirement is completion of the requirements for licensure (DOT curriculum paramedic program) recognized by the Oklahoma State Department of Health, allowing the individual to sit for the State and National Registry exams for licensure as an EMT.
Experience
Licensure
- Must be at least 21 years old to be insured by NRH carrier.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and remain insurable by the NRHS/EMSStat vehicle insurance company by maintaining a good driving record and meeting other policy requirements.
- Must have and maintain a current Oklahoma Paramedic License.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to patient care provision, and must be maintained throughout employment.
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) training is preferred and required within 6 months of hire.
- Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Pediatric Education for Pre-hospital Professionals (PEPP) training is preferred and required within 9 months of hire.
