Job summary

A nationwide occupational medicine provider is seeking an experienced Paramedic for their team in the Shippingport, PA area. This is a full-time position with Monday through Saturday 12-hour shifts from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm. The role involves responding to emergencies, administering medical support, and ensuring quality clinical standards. Qualifications

• Paramedic State Certification and/or National Registry required.
• Previous EMT/Paramedic and emergency 911 experience preferred.
• Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification is a plus.
• Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification; any additional certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergencies efficiently and promptly.
• Administer basic first aid and medical support to patients.
• Assess the nature and extent of injuries/illnesses.
• Effectively communicate with medical professionals and treatment facilities for further action.
• Coordinate with client and site personnel regarding incidents and hazards.
• Demonstrate teamwork and adapt to changing worksite environments.
• Maintain quality clinical standards and professional conduct at all times.
• Document findings and treatments clearly and concisely.
• Assist Site Safety Managers in maintaining a safe work environment.

Position Responsibilities

• Responding to emergencies efficiently and promptly
• Administering basic first aid and medical support to patients, in accordance with federal, state, local and company policy and regulations
• Assessing the nature and extent of injuries/illnesses to prioritize medical procedures
• Effectively communicating with medical professionals and treatment facilities to obtain instructions regarding further action
• Effectively communicating with client and site personnel regarding any worksite incidents, hazards, etc.
• Demonstrating a strong orientation towards teamwork and the ability to understand the importance of team coordinated efforts
• Demonstrating a strong ability to be cognizant of the constantly changing worksite environment and construction site hazards
• Ensuring that quality, clinical standards are practiced at all times
• Documenting all findings and treatments clearly and concisely
• Conducting oneself in a helpful, dignified and professional manner regardless of stress level and personal circumstances
• Assisting the Site Safety Managers and Personnel in maintaining the most safe and secure work environment possible

Position Qualifications

• Paramedic (EMT-P) State Certification and/or National Registry; must provide proof of reciprocity
• Previous EMT/Paramedic experience, 1st response experience or emergency 911 experience preferred
• Flexible schedule: Days, Nights, Weekend availability required
• Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification; any additional certifications are a plus
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with client and employees
