Job summary

Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, TX is hiring a Progressive Care Registered Nurse to coordinate and deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care in collaboration with medical providers. The RN will support pre‑ and post‑operative care and advocate for patients to enhance the overall experience.

Responsibilities include admission assessments, timely documentation, medication administration, and maintaining up‑to‑date knowledge of care for cardiac and medical‑surgical patients.

Qualifications

• ACLS required within 90 days of employment start date.
• BLS required within 30 days of employment start date.
• Minimum 6 months experience as a Registered Nurse.

• Perform procedures or functions as ordered by the medical provider.
• Document administration of care in the patient record promptly and thoroughly.

Job Summary And Qualifications

The Progressive Care Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care. In collaboration with medical providers, the RN provides pre-operative and post-operative nursing care. The RN serves as an advocate for patients to support an unparalleled patient experience.

What you will do in this role:

• Perform the administration of prescribed medications and monitors response.
• Maintain a knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients.

What qualifications you will need:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start dateRegistered Nurse 6 months minimum experience as a Registered Nurse
• Associate Degree, or Registered Nurse Diploma, or Bachelors Degree
