Person County Government in Roxboro, NC is actively recruiting full-time Paramedics for its Emergency Medical Services Division to deliver high-quality, lifesaving care in both emergency and non-emergency settings.

Paramedics assess and treat patients with advanced life support, stabilize and transport them, and work closely with local fire, law enforcement and hospitals. Starting salary is determined by education and experience while overtime is built into shifts.

Qualifications

• Must possess North Carolina EMT-Paramedic certification or eligibility.
• CPR certification required.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving history.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency calls in an ambulance and provide ALS/BLS care.
• Perform patient assessment and deliver life support per protocol.
• Transport patients to facilities and maintain care during transport.
• Complete documentation for billing, legal accountability, and patient records.
• Participate in ongoing training to maintain and improve certification.
• Inspect and maintain EMS vehicles and equipment for readiness.
