Job summary

Rural Metro Fire Department in Texas is seeking a Paramedic for a part-time position to deliver compassionate, high-quality emergency medical care on 911 responses. You will assess situations, lead on-scene operations, and drive the ambulance when dispatched.

Required are a State Paramedic License, State Driver’s License, BLS/ACLS/NREMT-Paramedic, a GED, and a compliant driving record; healthcare experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• State Paramedic License.
• State Driver’s License.
• BLS, ACLS, NREMT-Paramedic.
• Driving record compliant with company policy.
• Pass Physical Agility Test.
• Some work experience, preferably healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Assess call situations to determine best action per Paramedic protocols.
• Utilize Paramedic skills on medical equipment to provide advanced care.
• Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information.
• Act as Paramedic team leader on scene.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Collaborate with allied health and public safety personnel.
• Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image.
