Qualifications

• Must possess current certification as required by state board where services will be provided.
• Paramedic Certification per state WV/OH as applicable; National Registry if required by state.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS within specified hire timelines.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly and efficiently to calls.
• Care for patient prior to and during transport.
• Provide organized transfer of information to hospital with legible reports.
• Perform duties in triage area and establish care priorities as requested.
• Assist in fire control at sites when other agencies are unavailable.
• Render medical care to bereaved families and cooperate with police in dangerous situations.
• Operate vehicle under extreme conditions and complete paperwork within 48 hours.
