Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Texas paramedic certification is required.
• CPR, ACLS and PALS certifications are required.
• PHTLS or ITLS certification is required.
• Excellent communication and English literacy are essential.
• Valid Texas driver's license and insurability.

Responsibilities

• Responds to emergency and non-emergency calls 24 hours per day and drives emergency vehicles.
• Leads patient assessment and provides advanced life support as directed.
• Administers medications and interprets EKGs in the field.
• Ensures safe transport to healthcare facilities and completes reports.
• Maintains vehicle readiness and coordinates with outside agencies.
• Adheres to policies and procedures and follows Medical Director protocols.
