Job summary

South Shore Health & Educational Corporation seeks a Paramedic to provide Mobile Integrated Health and pre-hospital EMS services, with duties across field response, documentation, and hospital-based support.

The role includes leadership on scene, collaboration with ED staff, and participation in Hospital at Home programs, with ongoing professional development and credential maintenance.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in pre-hospital care in an emergency setting.
• Current EMT-Paramedic license and state certification.
• BLS and ACLS certifications current and in good standing.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Responds to requests for paramedic services from area departments in a timely and safe manner.
• Completes documentation and records accurately according to department policy.
• Ensures vehicle and equipment are ready for response at all times.
• Renders pre-hospital medical care at the paramedic level following protocols.
• Performs duties in the hospital emergency department under physician supervision.
• Acts as a team leader in emergency responses and coordinates on-scene actions.
• Maintains and troubleshoots equipment and vehicle; ensures readiness.
• Pursues ongoing education in paramedicine and shares knowledge with peers.
• Represents South Shore Health & Educational Corporation in public EMS activities.
• Participates in Hospital at Home admissions and related telehealth activities.
