Job summary

SGMC Health in Valdosta, GA is hiring a Paramedic for the EMS Ambulance Service. You will respond to calls, assess patients, administer treatment, and transport patients under department guidelines and state credentialing.

You must hold a Georgia Paramedic license, BLS and ACLS certifications, and complete annual requirements. A valid driver's license and the ability to lift and operate equipment in challenging conditions are essential.

Qualifications

• Currently licensed as a PARAMEDIC by the Georgia Department of Public Health.
• Must be currently certified and maintain certification in BLS, Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
• Must complete annual educational requirements as prescribed by Georgia laws/regulations.
• Ability to perform BLS and Advanced Life Support on adults, children, and infants.
• Must have a valid driver's license and good driving history per SGMC Health standards.
• Preferred: additional certifications such as STABLE, NIMS, PALS within set timelines.

Responsibilities

• Respond to EMS calls, assess and treat patients, and transport as required.
• Provide emergency care and advanced life support per department guidelines.
• Assist with continuum of care during inter-facility transfers.
• Attend required trainings and maintain credentials as required.
