Job summary

Ridgeview Medical Center in Minnesota seeks a Paramedic to deliver rapid assessment, treatment and transport for ill or injured patients under physician medical control. You will gather data, provide direct and indirect patient care, and transition care to other providers as needed.

Responsibilities include operating ambulances and base safely, participating in community events, and supporting departmental duties.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Must be at least 21 years old to meet insurability requirements.
• Current State of Minnesota Paramedic certification.
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certification.
• Valid MN driver’s license and insurability requirements.

Responsibilities

• Respond to routine and emergency requests for assessment, treatment and transportation of ill or injured patients.
• Collect and analyze assessment data to guide care.
• Provide direct and indirect patient care in line with SOPs.
• Transfer patient care to other qualified providers as needed.
• Operate and maintain ambulance and base safely and professionally; perform safety checks.
• Support community events and public relations activities for Ridgeview.
• Assist in departmental managerial duties as assigned.
• Perform other duties as required.
