Job summary

AdventHealth in Hendersonville, NC is seeking a Paramedic to assist licensed clinical staff in the Emergency Department and provide critical patient care during night shifts. You will support patient assessment, treatment, monitoring, and documentation while helping with room preparation, supply stocking, and patient transport.

Strong communication with patients and team members is essential. Required licensure as a Paramedic, BLS CPR, ACLS, and knowledge of infection prevention and safety

Qualifications

• Licensed Paramedic (PARA) required.
• BLS CPR required.
• ACLS required.
• NIMS training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed staff in emergency patient care in the ED.
• Provide patient care and clinical support within the scope of paramedic training.
• Assist with emergency patient assessment, treatment, monitoring, specimen collection, transport, and documentation.
• Support patient flow by preparing rooms, stocking supplies, transporting patients, and assisting with procedures.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, responders, and the healthcare team.

Job Description

• Assists licensed clinical staff in providing safe, effective patient care in the Emergency Department.
• Provides patient care and clinical support within the scope of paramedic training, certification, applicable protocols, and regulatory requirements.
• Assists with emergency patient assessment, treatment, monitoring, specimen collection, transport, and documentation as directed.
• Supports patient flow by preparing rooms, stocking supplies, transporting patients, and assisting with procedures as appropriate.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, emergency responders, and members of the healthcare team.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and ready work environment by following infection prevention, safety, and departmental standards.
• Documents patient care activities, observations, and interventions accurately and timely.
• Delivers compassionate customer service to patients and families.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
