Position Title: Paramedic - Emergency Department (Edmond) - Nights
Department: Emergency Department
General Description: Functions under the administrative guidance of the shift supervisor or manager to provide services to emergency patients. Under the clinical direction of the Emergency Department Physician, collects and conveys information to physician and licensed nurse regarding the health status of patients.

General Responsibilities:
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Successful completion of Paramedic training program.
Experience: Two (2) years of hospital and/or pre-hospital experience providing immediate stabilization and transport of sick and injured patients.
Licensure/Certifications/Registrations Required: Possession of a valid license issued by the Oklahoma State Department of Health as a Paramedic. BLS (American Heart Association) required upon hire. ACLS (American Heart Association) required within 3 months of hire.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of basic hospital policies and procedures. Knowledge of medical terminology. Knowledge of office procedures and equipment. Skilled in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with others. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Ability to type accurately. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with emphasis on providing customer service to internal and external customers. Good computer skills with familiarity and/or ability to learn Microsoft Office, Teletracking and other software applications. Knowledge of commonly used hospital-based computer programs would be helpful. Ability to relay information accurately and concisely. Ability to work closely with multiple disciplines in the healthcare setting. Ability to successfully handle multiple tasks.
