Job summary

Texas State Technical College (TSTC) is seeking a Paramedic instructor to develop curriculum and deliver instruction for diverse EMS training programs, including continuing education and contract work.

The role requires strong knowledge of EMS practices, pre-hospital care and safety, plus the ability to train and direct students in CPR, ventilation, airway management and pharmacology.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience as a Paramedic functioning on an emergency response ambulance required.
• Paramedic certification from the Texas Department of State Health Services.
• Knowledge of EMS practices and laboratory safety.
• Knowledge of emergency procedures and pre-hospital care.
• Ability to demonstrably operate and maintain EMS equipment.
• Excellent teaching and testing skills with classroom and hands-on instruction.
• Strong communication and presentation abilities with diverse learners.
• Capable of planning EMS labs, CPR instruction, and patient assessment.
• Ability to train and direct students on proper emergency procedures and pharmacology.
• Commitment to up-to-date EMS education and evidence-based practice.

Responsibilities

• Develop curriculum for a variety of educational projects including continuing education, apprenticeships, contract & industrial training, and international programs.
• Deliver instruction for a variety of educational projects including continuing education, apprenticeships, contract & industrial training, and international programs.
• Complete documentation including grades, as required by the supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned.
