Job summary

HCA Florida Ocala Hospital is seeking a Paramedic ED Transport PRN to respond to emergencies and provide advanced life support during transport to the hospital. You will work with firefighters and police as the first healthcare provider on scene, guiding patient care and EMTs to ensure safe delivery of care.

The role requires ACLS, BLS, and PALS within 30 days of start, a Paramedic license, a valid driver license, and an associate degree or certificate with at least 1 year of experience.

Qualifications

  • Paramedic certification is required.
  • Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and PALS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • 1 year of experience is required.

Responsibilities

  • Operate emergency medical vehicle and respond to emergent calls.
  • Evaluate patient condition to determine treatment.
  • Provide emergency medical care and direct EMTs during transport.
  • Perform invasive procedures under adverse conditions.
  • Manage non-medical situations and protect patient property if needed.
  • Lift and transport patients while maintaining stability.
  • Communicate patient data to receiving medical personnel.

Job Summary And Qualifications

The Paramedic responds to medical emergencies and provides advanced critical care during the transport to the hospital. As the first healthcare provider at the scene, the Paramedic partners with firefighters and police in evaluating the situation. The Paramedic offers basic and advanced life saving support, administers treatments, and directs EMTs in delivering patient care consistent with training and level of certification.

What you will do in this role:
  • Operate emergency medical vehicle and responds to calls for aid in emergent situations.
  • Evaluate patient condition to establish the right course of treatment.
  • Provide a variety of emergency medical treatment to injured, sick, or incapacitated persons.
  • Perform invasive procedures under adverse conditions.
  • Manage non-medical situations such as crowd control and protecting the valuables of a patient if necessary.
  • Lift and transport patients, ensuring patients remain stable during transport.
  • Communicate patient data and condition to professional medical personnel at emergency treatment facility.
What qualifications you will need:
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Paramedic
