Job summary

Piedmont Columbus Midtown, part of Piedmont Healthcare, seeks a Paramedic to support patient care under supervision of a Registered Nurse and/or Physician. The role emphasizes age-appropriate, culturally sensitive care, safety, patient education, information gathering, and effective communication.

The Paramedic participates in assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care and may supervise unlicensed personnel while contributing to performance improvement and patient advocacy.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of experience as a Paramedic preferred.
• BCLS, ACLS and PALS certifications required; LP license preferred; GA state Paramedic credential.

• Facilitate age-appropriate, culturally sensitive care.
• Maintain a safe environment and educate patients and families.
• Collect information and communicate effectively.
• Participate in assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care.
