Job summary

Piedmont Columbus Midtown is seeking a Paramedic to support patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and/or Physician. You will facilitate age-appropriate care, educate patients and families, collect information, and participate in the care plan development with a focus on safety and quality outcomes.

The role requires a GED, at least 1 year of Paramedic experience (preferred), and current BCLS/ACLS/PALS certifications with Georgia licensure.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of experience as a Paramedic preferred.
• BCLS (Basic Life Support) Upon Hire; ACLS Upon Hire; PALS or completion within 6 months; LP - Licensed Paramedic Georgia Upon Hire; National Registry preferred.

Responsibilities

The Paramedic, under the supervision of the Professional Registered Nurse and/or Physician is responsible for facilitating age-appropriate, culturally and ethnically sensitive care, maintaining a safe environment, educating patients and their families, collecting information, communicating effectively, and utilizing technology. The Paramedic participates in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the delivery of health care services and task. The role of the Paramedic Nurse Extender also, includes patient advocacy, teaching, performance improvement, and the oversight of unlicensed personnel.

Work Experience

• 1 year of experience as a Paramedic Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• BCLS - Basic Life Support BLS Certification Upon Hire Required and
