Job summary

Join Parachute, LLC in Baton Rouge, LA is seeking a Paramedic (Physician Substitute) to join our Center Medical team. This is a full-time position focused on donor health and safety and improving the donor experience.

You will work with center staff, monitor donor eligibility, perform health screenings, respond to reactions, and help maintain clean, compliant exam rooms. Cross-training in phlebotomy and other center duties offers room to grow, with a monthly bonus potential.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma, GED or higher.
• Certified/licensed Paramedic in the state of employment.
• Current BLS or CPR certification.
• Able to lift 50 pounds and stand or sit for extended periods.
• Ability to work weekends, regularly or as needed.

Responsibilities

• Monitor donor eligibility and safety; perform health screenings and physical exams.
• Respond to donor reactions and provide care as needed.
• Work collaboratively with all center staff.
• Manage health logs and test results with clinical oversight.
• Keep exam rooms clean, stocked, and compliant.
• Cross-train in all center functions including phlebotomy, processing bottles, and station installation.
