Job summary

Community Hospital is hiring a Full Time Paramedic Days position with a $2,000 Sign On Bonus. The Paramedic will assist nursing and physician staff in the ED and med/surg units and be an active member of the rapid response team.

Essential requirements include an Oklahoma paramedic license and BLS; ACLS and PALS within 90 days of hire. The hospital offers comprehensive benefits and supportive CARES values.

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Paramedic in Oklahoma required.
• BLS healthcare provider required within 30 days of hire, ACLS and PALS within 90 days of hire.
• Computer and office equipment skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates in the assessment of the patient and/or situations in a timely, consistent and systematic manner.
• Assists RN in collection of admission data and initiating appropriate procedures.
• Notifies ED provider or nurse when changes occur.
• Interprets information for pediatric, adult and geriatric patients.
• Implements plan of care under RN supervision to achieve outcomes.
• Performs procedures within licensure and guidelines.
• Delegates tasks to unlicensed providers as appropriate.
• Monitors for dysrhythmias and notifies staff when needed.
• Remains confidential and maintains a safe, stocked workplace.
• Maintains equipment and ensures replacements as needed.
• Performs 12-lead ECG and lead placement as required.
