Job summary

American Medical Response is seeking Paramedics in Palm Springs, CA, to provide high-quality pre-hospital care in a professional and compassionate manner. The role encompasses assessing calls, delivering advanced medical interventions, and coordinating with receiving facilities.

Qualifications include CA paramedic license, valid driver’s licenses, CPR/ACLS/PALS, and ICS/NIMS training. DMV records must meet safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• CA Driver’s License and Ambulance Driver’s License (DMV).
• Medical Examiner’s Card or DL51 required.
• Paramedic license (CA) with CPR/ACLS/PALS or PEPP as applicable.
• IS-100B, IS-200B, IS-700A and IS-800B ICS/NIMS training.
• Compliance with AMR safety driving policy.

Responsibilities

• Assess each call situation to determine best course of action and appropriate protocol.
• Utilize medical equipment and procedures including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, IV fluids, CPR and other procedures as required.
• Develop and utilize triage skills to provide optimal efficiency during calls.
• Provide patient care according to clinical protocols and safety requirements.
• Lift and move patients as required to provide optimum care.
• Communicate with receiving facility to receive medical direction and provide critical information.

Position Summary

The mission and purpose this position is to compassionately deliver high-quality service and basic, as well as advanced patient care in a professional, caring and cost-effective manner.

Paramedic Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Develop and utilize triage skills to provide optimal efficiency during calls.

• Communicate with receiving facility to receive medical direction and to provide critical information.

Education/Licensing/Certification

Paramedic Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)

• State of California Paramedic License
• CPR Card (American Heart Association ONLY, Health Care Provider. Hand written cards are not acceptable)
• ACLS Card (American Heart Association ONLY, hand written cards are not acceptable)
• PALS (American Heart Association ONLY, hand written cards are not acceptable) OR PEPP (only required for Riverside, LA & Ventura Co. applicants)
• PHTLS or ITLS Preferred at time of hire (Must be acquired within the first 6-months of employment for Riverside County)
• Driving record in compliance with AMR Safety and Driving policy (proof required if conditional offer of employment is made)

Salary Range: $26.20 - $60.23DOE (This rate applies to 12-hour shift and average 42 per week)
