Job summary

AMR is hiring Paramedics in Monterey County, CA. Earn $37.11 - $59.42 per hour with a $10,000 sign-on bonus and a 2-year commitment. Opportunities exist for both full-time and part-time positions.

We’re seeking Paramedics dedicated to compassionate, high-quality patient care and advanced EMS skills. Must hold CA Paramedic License, CA Driver’s license, and relevant certifications as listed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• CA State Paramedic License required.
• CA State Driver’s License required.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, PEPP, BTLS or PHTLS certifications required.
• Driving record must comply with policy.
• Pass Physical Agility Test.

Responsibilities

• Assess each call to determine best action with Paramedic protocols.
• Use Paramedic skills on defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen, suction and IV fluids.
• Communicate with patients and families to assure care is being provided.
• Lead the scene and manage the unit as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Collaborate with allied health and public safety personnel.
• Engage in community programs to support AMR image.

We’re hiring Paramedics that are passionate about delivering compassionate, high-quality service and advanced patient care to our customers.

Responsibilities:

• Assess each call situation to determine the best course of action while working with progressive Paramedic protocols.
• Utilize your Paramedic skills on medical equipment and procedures including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, and intravenous fluids to provide advanced medical care.
• Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and assurance that care is being given.
• Act as Paramedic team leader and take responsibility for the scene and unit management as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow Paramedics.
• Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image and establish strong community relations.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• CA State Paramedic License
• CA State Driver’s License
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, PEPP, BTLS or PHTLS
• Driving record compliant with company policy
• Pass Physical Agility Test
• ICS 100,200,700 and 800
• CA Ambulance Driver's LicenseMedical Examiner's Certificate

Preferred Qualifications:

• Some work experience, preferably healthcare
