Job summary

AMR is hiring a Paramedic in Monterey County, CA. Immediate full-time/part-time opportunities with a 12-hour shift averaging 42 hours per week and a $37.11 to $59.42 hourly pay range.

Qualified applicants will hold a CA State Paramedic License, CA Driver’s License, and EMS certifications (BLS, ACLS, PALS, PEPP, BTLS or PHTLS). A 10K sign-on bonus is offered with a 2-year commitment.

Qualifications

• CA State Paramedic License is required.
• CA Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, PEPP, BTLS or PHTLS certifications.
• Ability to pass Physical Agility Test and ICS 100/200/700/800.
• Experience in EMS environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess each call and determine the best action with Paramedic protocols.
• Utilize Paramedic skills with defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen, suction, IV fluids.
• Communicate with patients and families to reassure care.
• Act as Paramedic team leader on scene and unit management.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Collaborate with allied health and public safety personnel.
• Participate in community programs to support AMR image.

$37.11 - $59.42 per hour

We’re hiring Paramedics that are passionate about delivering compassionate, high-quality service and advanced patient care to our customers.

Responsibilities:

• Assess each call situation to determine the best course of action while working with progressive Paramedic protocols.
• Utilize your Paramedic skills on medical equipment and procedures including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, and intravenous fluids to provide advanced medical care.
• Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and assurance that care is being given.
• Act as Paramedic team leader and take responsibility for the scene and unit management as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow Paramedics.
• Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image and establish strong community relations.

MinimumRequired Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• CA State Paramedic License
• CA State Driver’s License
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, PEPP, BTLS or PHTLS
• Driving record compliant with company policy
• Pass Physical Agility Test
• ICS 100,200,700 and 800
• CA Ambulance Driver‘s License
• Medical Examiner‘s Certificate

Preferred Qualifications:

• Some work experience, preferably healthcare
