Job summary

AMR is immediately hiring a Paramedic for a full-time role. Hourly rates start at $21.50, plus depending on experience. The position involves advanced patient care, scene leadership, and ambulance operation in urgent EMS responses.

Responsibilities include using defibrillators, EKGs, oxygen, suction, IV therapy, and coordinating with healthcare and public safety teams. A strong emphasis is on compassionate patient care and community service.

Qualifications

• State Paramedic License and NREMT-Paramedic certification.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications; valid state driver's license.
• High school diploma or GED; healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess each call and determine best action per paramedic protocols.
• Use medical equipment (defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen, suction) for care.
• Communicate with patients and families to provide information and reassurance.
• Lead the Paramedic team and manage scene and unit as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Collaborate with allied health and public safety personnel.

Responsibilities:

• Assess each call situation todeterminethe best course of action while working with progressive Paramedic protocols.
• Utilize your Paramedic skills on medical equipment and procedures including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, and intravenous fluids to provide advanced medical care.
• Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and assurance that care is being given.
• Act asParamedicteam leader and take responsibility for the scene and unit management as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Work collaboratively and in a professional manner withall alliedhealth and public safety personnel as well as your fellow Paramedics.

Other Responsibilities:

• Participate in community programs tomaintainAMR image andestablishstrong community relations.

MinimumRequired Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• State Paramedic License
• State Driver’s License
• BLS, ACLS, NREMT-Paramedic
• Driving record in compliance with company policy
• Pass Physical Agility Test
• Some work experience, preferable in healthcare
