Job description

We’re hiring Paramedics who are passionate about delivering compassionate, high-quality service and providing both basic and advanced patient care.

Responsibilities:

1. Assess each call situation to determine the best course of action, working with progressive Paramedic protocols.
2. Utilize your Paramedic skills with medical equipment and procedures, including defibrillators, EKG monitors, oxygen and suction devices, and intravenous fluids to provide advanced medical care.
3. Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and reassurance that care is being given.
4. Act as Paramedic team leader, taking responsibility for scene and unit management as needed.
5. Drive the ambulance during 911 responses.
6. Collaborate professionally with all allied health and public safety personnel, as well as fellow Paramedics.

Other Responsibilities:

• Participate in community programs to maintain AMR's image and establish strong community relations.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• State Paramedic License
• State Driver’s License
• BLS, ACLS, NREMT-Paramedic certifications
• Driving record compliant with company policy
• Pass Physical Agility Test
• Some healthcare work experience preferred
