Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Paramedic for the Mobile Health unit in Toms River, NJ. The role provides Advanced Life Support services to patients with a focus on timely, compassionate care and strict adherence to EMS protocols.

Responsibilities include professional interaction with patients and staff, proper documentation, vehicle operation under NJ regulations, and ongoing participation in required trainings.

Qualifications

• Must possess valid driver’s license and meet insurance requirements
• NJ Paramedic Certification or NRP (reciprocity eligible)
• BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications required
• Hazmat awareness certification and CBRNE training preferred
• ICSS 100/200 and NIMS 700/800 training required
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Ability to operate EMS vehicles in accordance with NJ laws and MH policies
• Must meet hospital health requirements (TB, fit testing)

Responsibilities

• Provide Advanced Life Support (ALS) services to patients
• Maintain professional conduct and compassionate patient interactions
• Report equipment, maintenance, and supply issues to Supervisor
• Follow established patient care protocols and documentation procedures
• Operate department vehicles per NJ laws and MH policies
• Complete required continuing education and hospital trainings
• Engage with partners, patients, management, and other EMS providers
• Complete vehicle inspections and maintain certifications on schedule
