AMR in Virginia is seeking a Paramedic for a full-time, immediately hiring role with compensation at $33.99 per hour or more based on experience. You will deliver advanced patient care using defibrillators, ECG monitors, oxygen, suction and IV fluids, leading on scene management when required.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED is required.
Active State Paramedic License is required.
State Driver’s License is required.
BLS, ACLS and NREMT-Paramedic certifications are required.
Driving record must meet company policy.
Pass the Physical Agility Test.
Some healthcare work experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Assess each call to determine the best action with Paramedic protocols.
Use medical equipment such as defibrillator, ECG monitor, oxygen, suction, IV fluids.
Communicate with patients and families to provide care information.
Act as Paramedic team leader and manage scene and unit as needed.
Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
Collaborate with allied health and public safety personnel.
Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image.
