Job summary

PatientCare EMS in Sioux Falls, SD is seeking a qualified Paramedic to provide advanced prehospital emergency medical care and transportation. You will assess patients, deliver ALS interventions, administer medications, and make on-scene clinical decisions while ensuring safe operations.

You will lead on-scene care, coordinate transport, document thoroughly, and maintain certifications (ACLS, PALS, PHTLS, NREMT-P). This role requires strong communication with hospitals and EMS partners.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in EMS or related field.
• Previous ALS or high-volume EMS experience.
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening.
• Flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and deliver ALS interventions.
• Administer medications and perform advanced procedures per protocols.
• Lead on-scene clinical decisions and coordinate patient care.
• Provide patient packaging, transport, and ongoing monitoring.
• Complete accurate patient care reports and documentation.
• Ensure documentation meets clinical, legal, and billing standards.
• Maintain equipment readiness and sanitation of ambulances.
• Maintain required certifications and licensure; comply with PPE.
