Job summary

First-Care in Ohio seeks a Paramedic to provide advanced emergency medical care and transportation to patients within the EMS system. The Paramedic is a key member of the EMS team and functions as the highest level provider on most calls, performing life-saving assessments and interventions.

You will lead patient care, direct EMTs, and work within protocols. Responsibilities include ALS skills, patient assessment, treatment plans, coordinating with facilities, and maintaining HIPAA

Qualifications

• Paramedic certification and state EMS licensure required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required or clearly eligible.
• Valid driver’s license; ability to pass background and driving record checks.

Responsibilities

• Perform all advanced life support (ALS) skills and procedures as designated by the EMS Commission curriculum and First-Care medical protocols.
• Lead patient assessment, formulate treatment plans, and provide ALS interventions including IV/IO access, cardiac monitoring, airway management, medication administration, and rhythm interpretation.
• Direct and support EMTs and other crew members during emergent and non-emergent calls.
• Complete patient care reports and documentation accurately and before the end of shift; maintain HIPAA compliance.
