Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare is seeking an experienced clinical professional to provide direct and indirect patient care, including phlebotomy, IV starts, EKG monitoring, ventilator management and respiratory support. You will work under the Nurse Manager and Team Leader to ensure high-quality care with patient safety at the forefront.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and current Paramedic certification with CPR/ACLS/PALS credentials.

Qualifications

• Requires Virginia paramedic certification or National Registry CPR/ACLS/PALS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct and indirect patient care under supervision of Nurse Manager or Team Leader.
• Assists with nursing procedures and patient care as needed.
• Administers treatments per physician orders.
• Monitors patient status and communicates changes to team.
• Performs venipuncture and IV starts.
• Operates cardiac monitor and performs 12-lead EKG.
• Maintains sterile technique for procedures.
• Document care and maintain accurate records.
