Job summary

MedEx seeks a dedicated EMT/Paramedic to join our expanding team in South Carolina. You will transport patients by ambulance, stay current with standards of care, and document care in our EHR system while ensuring safety and compliance with state regulations.

You'll work flexible shifts as the service operates 24 hours, lift and move patients up to 125 pounds, and collaborate with dispatch and facility staff. Training and benefits start after 90 days of service.

Qualifications

• Must be physically able to meet the demands of the position.
• Must be able to pass a drug test.
• Paramedic certification or equivalent required; valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients safely in an ambulance to and from medical appointments.
• Remain up to date with current standards of care, including equipment functions and uses and all certifications, licenses and registrations.
• Thoroughly documents medical care given to patients in EHR system.
• Operates MedEx vehicles while complying with South Carolina State Law and company policies.
• Assists in completing any office duties, which may include cleaning office and living space.
• Determines that vehicle is in proper mechanical condition by performing daily check off sheets and reporting known issues.
• Attends continuing education and refresher training programs as required by employers, medical control, licensing or certifying agencies.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent (GED)

SC or National Registry Paramedic certification or able to obtain one

Valid State Driver’s License
