Job summary

Houston Healthcare is seeking a Paramedic to provide professional emergency treatment in the pre-hospital setting and to transport the sick or injured. The role requires current Georgia Paramedic certification, a valid Georgia driver’s license, and BLS/ACLS/ALS credentials, with PALS or CPT training within stated timelines.

You will work in a fast-paced environment, maintain documentation, and communicate effectively in English.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED; completion of a Paramedic program.
• Minimum six months of experience as a paramedic.
• Current Georgia Paramedic certification and valid Georgia driver’s license.
• Current BLS, ACLS, ALS, PALS per qualifications; CPT within 9 months of hire; FAST-ED stroke scale within 3 months.

Education & Training: High School graduate or GED equivalent. Completion of a vocational training program as a Paramedic. B. Experience: Six (6) months experience. C. Required Certification/Registration/Licensure: Current Georgia Paramedic certification. Valid Georgia driver’s license. Current AHA/ARC BLS certification. Current AHA ACLS/ARC ALS certification. AHA/ARC PALS certification or within 9 months of hire. CPT training within 9 months of hire. FAST-ED stroke scale or obtained within three (3) months of hire. D. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Have the physical ability to perform the job as determined by a physical agility performance evaluation. Have the ability to communicate both orally and in writing in English and to understand and follow oral and written instructions. Have the ability to establish and maintain working relationships with employees, volunteers and management. Be able to effectively perform prolonged work under adverse emergency conditions involving physical and mental stress. Be able to think clearly and use independent judgment in routine and non-routine situations, which may occur. Be able to utilize diagnostic equipment as well as patient care equipment.
