Job summary

CORE Occupational Medicine seeks an experienced Paramedic to join our Port Isabel, TX area team. We provide a full spectrum of occupational medical services to major clients and offer a rewarding work environment with competitive pay and benefits.

As a Paramedic, you will respond to emergencies, administer first aid, assess injuries, communicate with medical teams and site personnel, maintain clinical standards, document cases clearly, and support Site Safety Managers in maintaining a safe work

Qualifications

• Paramedic EMT-P certification or National Registry with reciprocity proof.
• EMT/Paramedic experience or 1st response/911 experience preferred.
• Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with clients and employees.

Responsibilities

• Responding to emergencies efficiently and promptly.
• Administering basic first aid and medical support to patients according to policy and regulations.
• Assessing injuries/illnesses to prioritize care.
• Communicating with medical professionals and treatment facilities for further actions.
• Coordinating with client and site personnel regarding incidents and hazards.
• Maintaining adherence to clinical standards and documenting findings clearly.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responding to emergencies efficiently and promptly
• Administering basic first aid and medical support to patients, in accordance with federal, state, local and company policy and regulations
• Assessing the nature and extent of injuries/illnesses to prioritize medical procedures
• Effectively communicating with medical professionals and treatment facilities to obtain instructions regarding further action
• Effectively communicating with client and site personnel regarding any worksite incidents, hazards, etc.
• Demonstrating a strong orientation towards team work and the ability to understand the importance of team coordinated efforts
• Demonstrating a strong ability to be cognizant of the constantly changing worksite environment and construction site hazards
• Ensuring that quality, clinical standards are practiced at all times
• Documenting all findings and treatments clearly and concisely
• Conducting oneself in a helpful, dignified and professional manner regardless of stress level and personal circumstances
• Assisting the Site Safety Managers and Personnel in maintaining the most safe and secure work environment possible

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

• Paramedic (EMT-P) State Certification and/or National Registry; must provide proof of reciprocity
• Previous EMT/Paramedic experience, 1st response experience or emergency 911 experience preferred
• Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification; any additional certifications are a plus
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with client and employees
