Job summary

Global Medical Response in Owensboro, KY is seeking Paramedics to provide advanced patient care on ambulances and during 911 responses. Starting pay is $22.00 per hour, with more depending on experience.

You will work with Paramedic protocols, operate medical equipment, lead scenes as needed, and collaborate with public safety teams while engaging with the community.

Qualifications

• State Paramedic License is required.
• State Driver's License required.
• BLS, ACLS, NREMT-Paramedic certifications required.
• Driving record must be compliant with company policy.
• Pass Physical Agility Test.
• Some healthcare work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess each call to determine the best course of action using Paramedic protocols.
• Use EMS equipment (defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen, suction, IV) to deliver advanced care.
• Communicate with patients and families to provide information and reassurance.
• Lead the Paramedic team on scene and manage unit operations as needed.
• Operate the ambulance during 911 responses.
• Collaborate with allied health and public safety personnel.
• Participate in community programs to support AMR image and community relations.

Starting at $22.00 per hour (more depending on experience)

We’re hiring Paramedics who are passionate about delivering compassionate, high-quality service and advanced patient care to our customers.

Responsibilities

• Assess each call situation to determine the best course of action while working with progressive Paramedic protocols.
• Utilize Paramedic skills on medical equipment and procedures including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, and intravenous fluids to provide advanced medical care.
• Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and assurance that care is being given.
• Act as Paramedic team leader and take responsibility for the scene and unit management as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as fellow Paramedics.
• Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image and establish strong community relations.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• State Paramedic License
• State Driver's License
• BLS, ACLS, NREMT-Paramedic
• Driving record compliant with company policy
• Pass Physical Agility Test
• Some work experience, preferably healthcare
