Job summary

EMS Direct, LLC, a DocGo company, is hiring a Paramedic in Fort Worth, Texas. You will provide high-quality pre-hospital care, operate on 12-hour day and night shifts, and collaborate with EMTs and management to ensure patient safety.

Compensation is $26–$29 per hour with full-time benefits including health insurance, PTO, 401(k), and direct deposit. Must hold Texas Paramedic license and current BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications; FEMA 100/200/700/800 preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Texas Paramedic license required or in process.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification through American Heart Association.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Paramedics, EMTs, and management to assure top tier patient care.
• Be flexible; work schedule may vary due to 24-hour operations.
• Maintain current standards of care and licenses; stay up to date with equipment functions.
• Provide courteous, professional patient interactions.
• Assess and treat medical conditions per state and county protocols.
• Transport patients to facilities and follow policies and procedures.
• Maintain rig cleanliness and organization.
• Gather billing information and obtain signatures.
• Prepare and submit pre-hospital patient care reports.
• Respond promptly to dispatch assignments.
• Lift, push, and pull 125 lbs or more.
• Other tasks as assigned.

Paramedic Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with your fellow Paramedics, EMTs, and management to assure top tier patient care.
• Be flexible as emergency services operate on a 24-hour clock - your work schedule may vary due to the nature of the business.
• Remain up to date with current standards of care, including equipment functions and uses and all certifications, licenses and registrations as a Paramedic.
• Conduct yourself in a courteous, helpful, and professional manner when dealing with patients, co-workers, supervisors, and the public.
• Recognize and treat any medical condition with appropriate techniques, equipment, and knowledge of all State and County protocols.
• Provide top tier medical transport to medical facilities and hospitals by assuming responsibilities for medical care of the patient and carrying out established policies and procedures as a Paramedic.
• Maintain rig cleanliness by stocking the rigs and taking ownership of your space.
• Gather patient billing information and appropriate billing signatures.
• Prepare and submit a pre-hospital patient care report.
• Respond promptly to assignments as required by the Dispatch Center.
• Must be able to lift, push, and pull 125 lbs or more.
• Other tasks as assigned.

Paramedic Qualifications:

• Texas Paramedic License Critical Care is a plus
• BLS, ACLS, PALS with American Heart Association
• Valid Driver's License (2+ years of driving history) and acceptable driving record
• FEMA ICD 100, 200, 700 and 800 certifications
• Excellent verbal communication skill
• Tech-savvy or comfortable with technology
• Able to work on a team
• Respectful of colleagues, patients, and supervisors
• Successfully complete Physical Aptitude Test
