Job summary

American Medical Response in Kansas City is seeking a part-time Paramedic to deliver advanced patient care on 911 responses and non-emergency transports. You will assess calls, operate defibrillators and monitoring equipment, communicate with patients, and lead scenes as needed while maintaining a compassionate, safety‑driven approach.

Minimum qualifications include Kansas Paramedic certification, a driver’s license, and BLS/ACLS on hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Kansas Paramedic certification or eligible for Kansas certification.
• State Driver’s License.
• BLS and ACLS required upon hire. PALS is preferred, but not required.
• Driving record compliant with company policy.
• Pass Physical Agility Test.
• Some work experience, preferably healthcare.

• Utilize your Paramedic skills on medical equipment and procedures including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, and intravenous fluids to provide advanced medical care.

• Act as Paramedic team leader and take responsibility for the scene and unit management as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow Paramedics.

$57,200.00 - $69,212.00 / year depending on experience

We’re hiring Paramedics that are passionate about delivering compassionate, high-quality service and advanced patient care to our customers.

This is a part-time position.

Responsibilities
