Job summary

Rural Metro Fire Department in Missouri is seeking a Paramedic to deliver advanced patient care and lead on 911 medical responses. This full-time role offers a $25.00 - $37.50 per hour wage and a $5,000 sign-on bonus based on experience.

The position requires Missouri Paramedic certification, a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and BLS/ACLS at hire (PALS preferred). You’ll work in fast-paced EMS settings providing compassionate care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Missouri Paramedic certification.
• Valid state driver’s license.
• BLS and ACLS required upon hire. PALS is preferred but not required.
• Driving record compliant with company policy.
• Pass Physical Agility Test.
• Some work experience, preferably healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Assess each call to determine the best action while following Paramedic protocols.
• Operate defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, and IV fluids for advanced care.
• Communicate with patients and families to provide information and reassurance that care is being given.
• Act as Paramedic team leader and manage the scene and unit as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Collaborate with allied health and public safety personnel and fellow Paramedics.

PARAMEDIC

$25.00 - $37.50 / hour depending on experience

5k sign-on bonus with full-time commitment

We’re hiring Paramedics that are passionate about delivering compassionate, high-quality service and advanced patient care to our customers.

This is a full-time position.

Responsibilities:

• Assess each call situation to determine the best course of action while working with progressive Paramedic protocols.
• Utilize your Paramedic skills on medical equipment and procedures including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, and intravenous fluids to provide advanced medical care.
• Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and assurance that care is being given.
• Act as Paramedic team leader and take responsibility for the scene and unit management as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow Paramedics.

Other Responsibilities:

• Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image and establish strong community relations.
