This position will provide pre-hospital medical care for the sick and injured to include scene management, appropriate clinical interventions and transportation to a hospital for all patients requesting or requiring care. This position will also assist licensed medical staff in the hospital emergency room setting within the paramedic scope of practice as outlined in OAR 847-035-030.
Remain at the assigned duty station and available for emergency response, patient care activities, and assigned duties throughout the scheduled shift unless authorized by a supervisor.
Continually reassess all assigned patients, modifying therapeutic interventions appropriately.
Appropriately administer medications and fluids as authorized under District standing orders and medical direction.
Document each patient contact in the electronic patient record system, giving a clear written description of the assessment and all subsequent interventions.
