Job summary

AMR is hiring a full-time Paramedic in Tennessee. The position offers an hourly rate starting at $21.50 with DOE and requires a State Paramedic License and related certifications.

You will assess calls, provide advanced medical care, lead on scene, drive the ambulance, and coordinate with health and public safety teams. This role emphasizes teamwork, professional conduct, and community service with AMR’s emergency medical services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• State Paramedic License and State Driver’s License required.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NREMT-Paramedic certifications.
• Driving record must comply with company policy.
• Pass Physical Agility Test required.
• Some healthcare work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess each call to determine best action using Paramedic protocols.
• Use medical equipment (defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen, suction) for advanced care.
• Communicate with patients and families to provide information and reassurance.
• Act as Paramedic team leader and manage scene and unit as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Collaborate with allied health and public safety personnel.

• Assess each call situation todeterminethe best course of action while working with progressive Paramedic protocols.
• Utilize your Paramedic skills on medical equipment and procedures including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, and intravenous fluids to provide advanced medical care.
• Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and assurance that care is being given.
• Act asParamedicteam leader and take responsibility for the scene and unit management as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Work collaboratively and in a professional manner withall alliedhealth and public safety personnel as well as your fellow Paramedics.

Other Responsibilities:

• Participate in community programs tomaintainAMR image andestablishstrong community relations.

MinimumRequired Qualifications:
