Job summary

AMR is seeking a Paramedic for a full-time role in Bozeman. The position requires delivering compassionate, high-quality patient care using basic and advanced medical skills in emergency settings.

Responsibilities include leading the Paramedic team, operating defibrillators and monitoring equipment, triage, and coordinating with receiving facilities. Overnight shifts are required, with a $15K sign-on bonus tied to a two-year commitment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; advanced education preferred.
  • Montana Paramedic Certification current or pending
  • Current National Registry
  • Valid State Driver’s License
  • BCLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP/BTLS certifications

Responsibilities

  • Assess each call to determine best action per Paramedic protocols.
  • Utilize Paramedic skills with defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen, suction devices, and IV fluids for advanced care.
  • Communicate with patient and loved ones to provide information and assurance.
  • Act as Paramedic team leader and supervise scene and unit management as needed.
  • Collaborate with allied health and public safety personnel.
  • Develop and utilize triage skills for efficient calls.
  • Provide patient care per clinical protocols and safety requirements.
  • Lift and move patients as required to provide optimum care.
  • Communicate with receiving facility for medical direction and critical information.
  • Drive the ambulance and provide map reading support to minimize response time.
  • Communicate with dispatcher to receive call data and feedback.
  • Shift: Overnight Shifts Required.
  • Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image and relations.
  • Meet and communicate with customers/staff (nursing facilities, hospitals) to ensure AMR needs are met.
  • Report interactions to operations/account manager regularly.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

POSITION SUMMARY:

As a Paramedic, your mission is to provide compassionate, top‑notch patient care with a blend of both basic and advanced medical services. Our aim is to deliver these services in a professional, caring, and cost‑effective manner that demonstrates our commitment to excellence and our community.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess each call situation to determine the best course of action while working with progressive Paramedic protocols.
  • Utilize your Paramedic skills on medical equipment and procedures including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, and intravenous fluids to provide advanced medical care.
  • Communicate with patient and loved ones to provide information and assurance that care is being given and to show compassion.
  • Act as Paramedic team leader and take responsibility for the scene and unit management as needed.
  • Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow Paramedics.
  • Develop and utilize triage skills to provide optimal efficiency during calls.
  • Provide patient care according to clinical protocols and safety requirements.
  • Lift and move patients as required to provide optimum care.
  • Communicate with receiving facility to receive medical direction and to provide critical information.
  • Drive the ambulance and provide map reading support to minimize call response time.
  • Communicate with dispatcher to receive and understand call data and customer feedback.
  • Shift: Overnight Shifts Required.
Other Responsibilities:
  • Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image and establish strong community relations.
  • Meets and communicates with existing customers/staff members (including skilled nursing, assisted living, and hospital facilities) on a regular basis to ensure that AMR is meeting their needs.
  • Reports these interactions to the operations and/or account manager on a regular basis.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED). Some advanced education preferred.
  • Current state of Montana Paramedic Certification or application pending
  • Current National Registry
  • Possess a valid State Driver’s License.
  • Current BCLS, ACLS, PALS or PEPP, BTLS
  • Driving record in compliance with AMR Safety and Driving policy.
  • Ability to pass drug & background screening
  • Ability to pass a physical agility test (PAT)
