RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Paramedic for the Mobile Health program in East Brunswick, NJ. The role focuses on providing Advanced Life Support and coordinating patient care in a fast-paced EMS setting.

Responsibilities include delivering high-quality patient care, maintaining accurate documentation, and complying with regional health and safety protocols. Required certifications include NJ or NR Paramedic, BLS, ACLS, PALS, and Hazmat awareness.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED required.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Current Driver's License and must satisfy vehicle insurance requirements.
• NJ Paramedic Certification or National Registry Paramedic Certification (reciprocity eligible).
• American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider (CPR) is required.
• AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is required.
• AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) is required.
• Hazmat Awareness Certification is required.
• ICS 100/200 and NIMS 700/800 are required.
• Weapons of Mass Destruction or CBRNE Awareness training is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide Advanced Life Support (ALS) services to patients.
• Maintain professional, compassionate conduct at all times.
• Communicate clearly and effectively in English; notify supervisor of equipment or supply issues.
• Document patient care per department procedures and MH requirements.
• Operate department vehicles in compliance with NJ laws and MH policies.

The Paramedic will provide Advanced Life Support (ALS) services to patients.

A Typical Day:

• Conducts self in a professional, dignified, and compassionate manner at all times

• Notifies Supervisor of any deficiencies regarding maintenance, equipment, or supplies


• Notifies Supervisor immediately of any unusual circumstances


• Provides treatment in accordance with established patient care protocols


• Operates department vehicles in accordance with all applicable NJ Motor Vehicle Laws and MH driving related policies


• Required to complete department specific continuing programs in addition to those required by the State of New Jersey Department of Health, Office of Emergency Medical Services


• Expected to complete all patient care documentation in accordance with the MH Documentation Procedure


• Interacts professionally with partners, patients, management, colleagues from other EMS agencies, public safety personnel, and other healthcare providers and members of the public


• Expected to perform routine duties intended to keep them safe and facilitate their ability to provide patient care


• This includes but is not limited to: completing vehicle inspection forms and vehicle maintenance requests, submitting copies of required certifications prior to their due date, remaining compliant with hospital Employee Health requirements such as TB testing and N95 fit testing, and completing hospital-required processes such as annual employee self-evaluations and employee engagement surveys in a timely manner.
