Job summary

Aquila Medical Services seeks Paramedics to deliver advanced pre-hospital care in emergency and non-emergency settings. You will perform life-saving procedures, manage trauma, and safely transport patients while working in a team and showing clinical judgment.

Candidates should have NREMT Paramedic certification, ACLS, CPR/BLS, and a high school diploma; bachelor’s/associate’s degrees are a plus. Willingness to rotate shifts and pass background checks is expected.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; degrees are a plus.
  • State and/or National Registry Paramedic certification required.
  • ACLS certification is required; PALS preferred.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification is required.
  • Minimum one year of paramedic experience preferred.
  • Experience in high-pressure emergency settings is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to 911 calls and provide advanced medical care.
  • Perform life-saving interventions on-site and during transport.
  • Assess, diagnose, and treat medical emergencies, trauma, and cardiac events.
  • Operate and maintain emergency vehicles and equipment.
  • Safely transport patients while continuously monitoring their condition.
  • Work with EMTs, nurses, and first responders; maintain accurate records.
  • Participate in continuing education and training to stay updated.

Job description

Paramedics at Aquila Medical Services are advanced healthcare professionals responsible for delivering high-quality pre-hospital care in both emergency and non-emergency settings. They perform advanced life support procedures, manage critical medical and trauma situations, and ensure the safe and effective transport of patients. Requirements
Paramedic – Job Requirements
Education & Certification:

High school diploma or GED (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field is a plus).

State and/or National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) Paramedic certification.

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (preferred).

Current CPR/BLS certification (American Heart Association or equivalent).

Experience:

Minimum one year of experience as a Paramedic in an emergency medical or pre-hospital setting is preferred.

Experience working in high-pressure environments such as ambulances, fire departments, or hospitals is a plus.

Extensive knowledge of advanced emergency medical procedures, pharmacology, and life support techniques.

Ability to assess, stabilize, and treat patients in high-stress emergency situations.

Proficiency in administering medications, IV therapy, intubation, defibrillation, and airway management.

Strong ability to analyze complex situations and make quick, life-saving decisions.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills for working alongside EMTs, nurses, and first responders.

Physical stamina and strength to lift patients and operate in challenging environments.

Strong documentation and patient care reporting skills.

Responsibilities:

Respond to 911 calls and emergency situations to provide advanced medical care.

Perform critical life-saving interventions on-site and during transport.

Assess, diagnose, and treat patients with medical emergencies, traumatic injuries, and cardiac events.

Operate and maintain emergency vehicles and medical equipment.

Safely transport patients to medical facilities while continuously monitoring their condition.

Work collaboratively with EMTs, first responders, and hospital staff.

Maintain accurate medical records and comply with all safety and medical protocols.

Participate in continuing education and training to stay updated on best practices.

Other Requirements:

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (if operating emergency vehicles).

Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
