Job summary

Avera Granite Falls Hospital is seeking a full-time EMS professional to provide emergency medical care, including ambulance transports and in-hospital ED duties. You will collect patient data, assist with diagnoses, and implement care plans under physician supervision, ensuring collaboration with health care teams.

The role features 12-hour rotating day/night shifts (6am–6pm, 6pm–6am) with every other weekend/holiday, and a $10,000 sign-on bonus with a 2-year commitment plus competitive benefits.

Qualifications

  • State licensure and active EMS certifications required upon hire.
  • Ambulance experience and ability to perform under emergency conditions.
  • Reliable communication and teamwork in high-stress environments.

Actual pay rate dependent upon experience.$32.00 - $44.00Position HighlightsThis position may be eligible for a $10,000 sign on bonus with a 2 year commitment.You will be taking ambulance calls practicing critical care service transports and also working in the hospital emergency department.Crew quarters are available for sleeping.Schedule: 12 hour rotating days/nights from 6am to 6pm and 6pm to 6am. Work your primary 12 hour shift with call for the other 12 hour shift. Work where you matter.A Brief OverviewProvides emergency medical treatment to sick or injured patients, under the direction and supervision of physician and leaders, in accordance with established standards of performance, philosophy and objectives. Documents and reports observations and treatments provided to physicians, nurses and other healthcare staff, in support of patient care activities.What you will doCollects patient health data from patients, referring healthcare providers and patient charts.Analyzes the collected data to assist in determining diagnoses and area of problem focus.Identifies expected outcomes and goals, individualized to the patient, and develops a plan of care that prescribes interventions to attain expected outcome.Implements the interventions identified in the plan of care.Performs required documentation and participates in quality control activities to support patient care.Evaluates the patient’s progress toward attainment of the outcomes and utilizes establishes protocols for patient care.Systemically evaluates the quality and effectiveness of practice.Acquires and maintains current knowledge in practice, procedures, and care.Collaborates with the patient, significant others, and health care providers to provide appropriate patient care.Considers factors related to safety, effectiveness, and cost in planning and delivering patient care in support of responsible, ethical and safe patient care and environments.Essential QualificationsThe individual must be able to work the hours specified.
