Job description

Our client, a dynamic and growing law firm, is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Paralegal to join their team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of paralegal duties and have a minimum of three years of experience working within a law firm environment, with a strong preference for experience in Trusts and Estates.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist attorneys with all phases of trust and estate administration, including probate filings, inventorying assets, preparing accountings, and distributing assets.
  • Draft and prepare various legal documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, healthcare directives, and probate pleadings.
  • Conduct legal research and gather information pertinent to trust and estate matters.
  • Maintain and organize client files, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, beneficiaries, financial institutions, and court personnel.
  • Manage attorney calendars, schedule appointments, and coordinate meetings.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as billing, time entry, and general office support.
  • Assist with estate planning document preparation and execution.
  • Perform other paralegal duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Paralegal in a law firm setting.
  • Demonstrated experience in Trusts and Estates is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Discretion and ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.
  • Proactive and resourceful with a strong work ethic.
