The Seattle City Attorney’s Office is seeking a paralegal professional to support the Infraction Unit, including discovery management, hearings preparation, subpoenas, and case file maintenance. The role requires collaboration with attorneys, interns, and multiple agencies, with a focus on accuracy and timely responses.

A bachelor’s degree and two years of experience performing paralegal duties, or a certification from a nationally accredited paralegal training institution and three years of related experience, or a combination of education and/or training and/or experience that provides an equivalent background required to perform the work of the class.

The full pay range for this step‑progression position is $42.25 - $49.25 per hour. New employees begin at Step 1 of the pay progression, which is $42.25 hourly. Current City employees’ starting pay rate will be based on the Personnel Rules regarding promotions. Advanced initial step placement may be considered under limited circumstances, but step salaries are not subject to negotiation.
