Job summary

The Army National Guard is seeking a Paralegal Specialist to support judges, Army lawyers, and unit commanders with legal matters and judicial work. You will gain hands-on experience in family, international, contract, and defense law while supporting legal services.

Training includes Basic Training and Advanced Individual Training, plus on-the-job instruction. You’ll earn while you learn with tuition assistance and a monthly paycheck during service.

Qualifications

• Must be at least a junior in high school or have a high school diploma or GED.
• Ages 17–35; must pass a physical exam and meet standards.
• Military enlistment in the Army National Guard is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal documents in courts-martial and military justice matters
• Assist in legal affairs, such as power of attorney, wills, and separation decrees
• Interview witnesses and research court decisions and Army regulations
• Prepare records of hearings, investigations, courts-martial and inquiries
