Job summary

DC Army National Guard is seeking a Paralegal Specialist to support judges, Army lawyers, and unit commanders with legal matters and judicial work. You will provide legal and administrative support across family law, international law, contract law, and defense legal services.

Training includes 10 weeks of Basic Training and 10 weeks of Advanced Individual Training with on-the-job instruction, leading to interview of witnesses and research of court decisions and Army regulations.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards.
• Must enlist in the Army National Guard.
• Ages 17–35.

Your training will enable you to interview witnesses, research court decisions and Army regulations, process legal claims and appeals, and prepare records of hearings, investigations, courts-martial, and courts of inquiry.

Job training for a Paralegal Specialist requires 10 weeks of Basic Training, where you'll learn basic Soldiering skills, and 10 weeks of Advanced Individual Training and on-the-job instruction.

Requirements
