State of Alaska is seeking a Paralegal Specialist 1 in Anchorage, Juneau, or Fairbanks to supervise and mentor 3–4 paralegals in the Civil Division. The role supports onboarding, training, and handling complex civil matters in a government setting.

You will coordinate responses to public records requests and assist with reporting and tracking, while maintaining personal workload and ensuring process compliance. Alaska residency applies.

Qualifications

• Law: Knowledge of state and federal laws, court procedures, and case preparation.
• Compliance: Knowledge of procedures for assessing and monitoring programs for compliance.
• Leadership: Influences, motivates, and challenges others; adapts leadership styles.
• Legal, Government, and Jurisprudence: Knowledge of laws, regulatory processes, and government functions.
• Technical Credibility: Applies specialized policies and procedures accurately.
• Equivalent to education/experience in legal support roles or related fields.

Responsabilités

• Directly supervise, train and mentor 3–4 paralegals across divisions.
• Onboard and train assistant attorneys general and paralegals on processes and policies.
• Carry a personal workload from routine to complex cases based on experience.
• Assist agencies with coordinating and responding to public records requests.
• Provide administrative support to section supervisors for reporting and tracking.
