Job summary

Tractor Supply Company is seeking a detail-oriented paralegal to support its real estate legal division in daily operations, including due diligence review, drafting and organizing documents for commercial acquisitions and dispositions.

The role emphasizes collaboration with the real estate team, creation of templates, adherence to regulatory standards, and precise tracking of key dates in closing processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Review and track due diligence documents for commercial real estate development and transactions.
  • Draft leases, development agreements, amendments and purchase contracts.
  • Coordinate closings and monitor key dates for development and sale/leaseback programs.
  • Manage the Portfolio Review docket with real estate partners and draft lease amendments.
  • Collaborate with the real estate legal team on special projects and initiatives as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with legal standards, regulations, and company processes.

Job description

This position is responsible for performing support functions in the daily operations of a real estate legal division by reviewing, gathering, organizing and processing information relevant to project files, drafting and reviewing legal documents, and preparing for commercial acquisitions and dispositions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)
  • Responsible for tracking and reviewing legal due diligence, including title reports and pro formas, ALTA surveys, environmental reports, plats, zoning reports, easements, and similar documents related to commercial real estate development and transactions.
  • Draft real estate documents such as leases, development agreements, lease amendments and purchase contracts.
  • Provide closing coordination and monitoring of key dates for fee development and sale leaseback programs.
  • Manage the Portfolio Review docket in cooperation with real estate business partners and draft required lease amendments.
  • Partner with members of the real estate legal team on special projects and initiatives as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with legal standards and regulations and company protocols and processes.
Required Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. A suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.

Professional Certifications: Paralegal Certificate from an ABA approval paralegal program preferred

Preferred knowledge, skills or abilities

Other knowledge, skills or abilities:

  • Solid Microsoft Office skills; strong drafting skills; detail oriented and highly organized
  • Capable of creating templates and forms for documents and collecting metrics
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication, confidentiality, and collaboration
