Job summary

Certified Employment Group is seeking an experienced Paralegal – Personal Injury & Civil Litigation to support attorneys through all stages of litigation in Sacramento, CA. The role demands strong civil procedure knowledge, outstanding organization, and the ability to juggle multiple cases and deadlines.

You will draft pleadings and discovery, manage case files, organize medical records and liens, and assist with trial preparation and settlement documents, while working closely with a legal team

Qualifications

• 3+ years paralegal experience in personal injury or civil litigation.
• Strong understanding of civil litigation processes, pleadings, discovery, deadlines.
• Knowledge of personal injury litigation including medical records, liens, settlements.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Draft pleadings, motions, CMC statements, and file documents with the court.
• Manage case calendars, hearings, deadlines, statutes, and other dates.
• Organize and maintain electronic and physical case files and ensure accuracy.
• Prepare and organize exhibits, evidence, discovery materials, and productions.
• Draft interrogatories and requests for production/admission.
• Collect and analyze information from clients, opposing counsel, medical providers, experts, etc.
• Review medical records and medical bills.
• Track and manage medical liens during litigation and settlement.
• Assist attorneys with case development, strategy, and trial prep.
• Prepare trial materials, exhibits, and witness materials.
• Assist with settlement preparation and documentation.
• Maintain case notes and status updates in the CMS.
• Coordinate communications with clients, attorneys, courts, and others.
• Conduct legal research and gather relevant authorities.
• Perform general administrative and litigation support duties.
• Maintain confidentiality of client and case information.
