Collection at Law is seeking a Paralegal to gain hands‑on experience and work closely with attorneys who mentor your development. The role emphasizes organization, strong communication, and the ability to prepare, review, and manage legal documents under supervision.

Responsibilities include drafting filings, reviewing debt histories, coordinating with process servers and court clerks, and preparing garnishments and post‑judgment motions.

Qualifications

• Two years of legal studies or paraprofessional coursework, or equivalent practical legal experience.
• Ability to prepare, review, and manage legal documents under attorney supervision.
• Strong professionalism, communication, and willingness to learn quickly.
• Experience in a legal or professional environment is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Draft and file collection complaints, summonses, and affidavits.
• Review account histories and validate debt documentation.
• Track service of process, court dates, and filing deadlines.
• File documents with courts and administrative agencies.
• Coordinate with process servers and court clerks.
• Prepare garnishment orders, liens, and post‑judgment motions.
