Job Description

The Paralegal position is responsible for assisting the attorneys and the firm by preparing motions for judgment, following up on orders, and other paralegal duties as needed for the position.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Review accounts for default judgment based on court and client requirements
  • Following up on orders from the courts
  • Assist with paralegal projects
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education, Formal Training, or Certificates:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Paralegal Certificate or Associates degree or above preferred

Experience:

  • 2 – 3 years of paralegal experience in civil litigation
  • Previous experience in the collections industry preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines
  • Organized with an extremely high attention to detail
  • Must complete assignments with minimal errors
  • Excellent troubleshooting and business-to-business communication
  • Must be self‑motivated and reliable
  • Functioning knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Majority of this position will be in a professional office environment
  • Will type, write, use finger dexterity, talk, hear, and see (up close and moderate distances) as a normal part of job duties
  • Will occasionally need to lift up to 50 lbs.
